We are looking for a Assistant Mechanic to join our team who is eager to learn from an industry leading Equipment Manager. Prior golf course mechanical experience is NOT required. We are happy to train the right candidate & will consider all applicants with related skills (automotive, marine, diesel). We are seeking a candidate with a record of positive performance, good character, and a mechanical mind. A can-do attitude and a desire to grow their own responsibilities can open the door to a very successful and high paying career for the right candidate.
-Assists the Equipment Manager in all day to day operations within the department of golf course maintenance
-Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects in various golf course maintenance equipment including diesel, electric, and gasoline-powered vehicles and other mechanical equipment used in utility work
-Helps maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment
-Repairs and adjusts cutting mechanisms on various mowing equipment
-Checks performance of and makes timely repairs to equipment on the course
-Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work environment
-Complies with OSHA safety standards and practices
-Assists with some mowing and light landscaping tasks on the golf course periodically
-Other duties as assigned by the Equipment Manager or other management of the Club
