About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled, experienced animal groomer who already knows the tools, handling techniques, and gentle touch required to safely groom dogs and cats of all breeds.
This is not a trainee or entry-level position. Applicants must have at least one year of hands-on grooming experience in a professional grooming salon, veterinary, or rescue setting.
You’ll be joining a compassionate, animal-focused team in Acton, CA — where professionalism, patience, and kindness matter just as much as grooming skill.
Responsibilities
Provide full grooming services: bathing, brushing, drying, nail trims, ear cleaning, and trimming/clipping.
Handle animals with care, patience, and a calm presence to reduce stress.
Identify and report any skin, coat, or health issues to veterinary staff.
Maintain grooming tools and work areas in clean, sanitized condition.
Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all animals and staff.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of professional grooming experience required.
Must be comfortable grooming both dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
Skilled in proper handling, brushing, bathing, and clipping techniques.
Gentle, compassionate approach to animal care is essential.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Able to lift 40+ lbs and stay active through an 8-hour shift.
Must be available some weekends and holidays.
