Job Description:
The position is for a safe and reliable heavy equipment operator who will need to operate various types of equipment productively and efficiently. This job could require pushing, compacting, grading, trenching, backfilling, excavating, R&Rs, demolitions, loading/hauling debris and high volumes of trucks.
Operator Responsibilities:
Proficiently operate heavy equipment, which include Excavators and Loaders of various sizes and numerous attachments.
Perform job responsibilities safely in a sometimes-busy environment, operating around trucks and personnel.
Operate equipment productively for 10+ hours per day, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions.
May be required to work weekends.
Help laborers with cleaning and picking up debris, when necessary.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid CA Commercial Driver's License.
Transportation. (Job sites are in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Clarita counties)
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, inspectors, employees and office staff.
Ability to manage and complete a job without supervision.
