Great opportunity with a trustworthy and highly professional family-run HVAC business!

Who we are:

Long story short, my family's growing HVAC business is looking to widen its community of subcontractors and part-time laborers. Our company, Air-On HVAC, has been serving the South Bay of Los Angeles since the early 2000s as a part-time business run by my father. Both myself (son) and my sister are involved in the company and help do installs and maintenance calls regularly. However, the demand for our business is growing, and we want to bring on some new people who can help us keep pace and continue to increase our job count. All of us have full-time jobs outside of Air-On; both my dad and I work at the port, and my sister works as a tech for another HVAC company. We have alternating schedules, and my dad works nights, so he is normally doing HVAC work four days out of the week day-side. Our current predicament is that our territory is expanding, and we are doing jobs further afield from our home base in Torrance. We work primarily in Torrance, Redondo, San Pedro, the P.V. Peninsula, Hermosa, and Manhattan Beach, but we have clients as far away as Corona and Newport.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for part-time subs or laborers who know this trade and who are relatively flexible and professional in their attitude and work ethic. We currently have a team of about four people who carry out installs, maintenance calls, and sometimes other general contracting work. The goal is to get my dad out of attics and help prevent him from being so hands-on. He is approaching 60 and simply shouldn't be knocking out 5-hour shifts in hot attics doing this demanding and uncomfortable work. That being said, we are looking for someone who really knows this trade and is ready to hit the ground running, doing professional work to a high standard.

Ideally, a candidate would have the following attributes:

- two+ years in the HVAC business

- a truck or van to carry out jobs and work (this would be a major plus)

- has a contractor license or C20 HVAC license (another major plus but not totally necessary)

- can braise copper lines and work with refrigerant

- can wire thermostats and understand electrical components of HVAC system

- does good work and knows how to effectively and tactfully communicate with clients

- is a cool person with a "get er' done" attitude who enjoys bonding over the adversity that is doing this really tough work!

What you will get:

We have always taken care of our people really well and provide a pretty solid side hustle that is more than worthwhile. Compensation will depend on experience and what you bring, but for an idea, we normally work about 10-2PM at a $50/hour rate on the install side. Those with more experience who know how to do the more technical work, i.e. copper welding and electrical etc., will make more than this. On larger jobs, you can easily make up to a grande in two days.

If you want to know more details and talk about our needs and what you can offer, please feel free to reach out to me by email or text/phone at the available contacts. Resumes are encouraged but not totally necessary.

Thank you for being interested.
