The Pharmacy Technician has primary responsibility in the unit-dose, outpatient, sterile admixture, and floor stock areas under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties. Pharmacist supervision does not require continuous observation, however, there must be a final Pharmacist check of all technician work involved in the preparation and/or dispensing of drugs.Hours: variable day, evening and night shifts
One(1) year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certifiedtraining program/healthcare career college (preferred)
CurrentState of California Pharmacy Technician license (required).
Abilityto communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required).
Basiccomputer knowledge (required)
Knowledgeof automated pharmacy systems (preferred).
IVLaminar Flow Hood experience (preferred).
