DescriptionMartinez Public Agency is looking for temporary Administrative Support.In this Administrative Assistant role you will answer the telephone, screen and refer phone calls to appropriate staff or directly answerinquiries. Greet visitors and assist them with general questions and/or direct them to the appropriateperson or location. Effectively operate all office equipment, including a personal computer, required to ensurethe accurate and timely performance of duties. Prepare, process and review various forms and other documents for completeness,consistency, validity and accuracy. Update information by inputting information into various computer programs accurately, and in a timely manner to ensure agency compliance with program requirements and regulations. Prepare a variety of narrative and statistical reports, correspondence, and other materialsaccurately and in a timely manner. Maintain files by filing documents and correspondence associated with assigned department in an accurate and timely manner according to agency and HUD mandated guidelines.This position is anticipated to last 2-3 months. Accomplished computer skills are a must. This includes word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

Email Correspondence experience

Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word

General familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration

Well-founded grasp of HR System

Proven knowledge of HR Department

Wide ranging experience with MS Outlook

Switchboard phone (1-10 lines) experience

Answer Inbound Calls experience required

Solid understanding of Alpha 8,001 - 10,000 kph

Strong familiarity with customer service

Quality experience with Microsoft Excel

Proven ability to use the internet for research

Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

At least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience preferred
