Are you an accounting professional looking for a unique opportunity to grow and make an impact in your local community? Our Indian tribe, located in Hopland, CA, is seeking a Fiscal Manager to lead our small finance team and take on responsibilities that are typically part of a CFO role.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable (AP), payroll, grant fund accounting, petty cash, external independent audits, and more.
Oversee financial functions for approximately 40 tribal employees with several department heads and managers.
Work closely with the Tribal Treasurer for professional development and guidance.
Ensure compliance with grant funding requirements and financial policies.
Qualifications:
Experience in full charge accounting or bookkeeping.
Knowledge of grant fund accounting is a plus.
Ability to manage a small team and oversee multiple financial functions.
Ability to bring a good spirit to the workplace and build a cohesive team
Ability to truly value good customer service and appreciate its value
