Placewares is a California lifestyle brand that embodies the positive and progressive spirit and style of California. The Placewares lifestyle is known for color, ingenuity, original point-of-view and enduring designs that include fine art, furniture and furnishings, tabletop, kitchen, gourmet foods, apparel, pet gear and other essentials for a well designed and lived life. Art, travel, friendships and acquaintances, nature, and architecture and design inspire Placewares every day.

Placewares launched in January 1978 with a shop in Concord, MA growing to a family of neighborhood stores. In January 2005 Placewares established its California home. In 2016, Placewares opened Placewares.com our online shop and launched our first line of Placewares branded products as well as an artist and designer collaboration program. In 2018, Placewares debuted both its Projects and Studio arms. Placewares Projects is home to special projects and design services. Studio is home to product development and creative collaborations.

Our future is bright. Our vision is to bring Placewares stores to vibrant neighborhoods in California and beyond and contribute to them as a community member. JOB DETAILS

Job Summary

Set and achieve personal sales goals while supporting the goals of the shops team.

Be a good host to Placewares guest customers providing them a welcoming, hospitable, fun and inclusive experience.

Greet and acknowledge all customers, as well as provide information to all customer inquiries by demonstrating knowledge regarding the merchandise and company.

Provide genuine, friendly and honest help and feedback to customers regarding product selection and design decisions.

Assist customers with any special services, including gift-wrapping, checking inventory and locating merchandise, special orders, and logistical services.

Follow through with customer experience by utilizing company materials and maintaining a client book.

Complete tasks and objectives listed on daily touch-base or as directed by management.

Consistently seek new design, lifestyle, and product knowledge to act as an expert host for your guest customer.

Maintain a professional appearance consistent with our established dress code and image guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
