Parents & Friends is looking for an I.T. Technician to join our team. We provide direct services, programs and activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The I.T. Technician provides device and account provisioning, end-user support, end-user training, infrastructure maintenance and updates, documentation, planning, and data entry for a variety of settings. Must possess the ability to work well with individuals from various backgrounds and learning abilities. Some training is provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
25% Device and Account provisioning
25% End-User Support
20% End-User Training
20% Infrastructure Maintenance and Updates
10% Documentation, planning and Data Entry
Other general responsibilities
Adheres to the rights and privacy of clients and maintains confidentiality of information (as per HIPAA guidelines).
Ensures a safe and secure work environment, following PFI’s Safety Plan.
Maintains a professional manner in all aspects of the job.
Maintains punctuality, confidentiality and ethical practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
0-2 years of experience in a similar role
Experience with Google Workspace, Google Apps Scripting (JavaScript)
Understanding of HIPAA privacy requirements and best practices
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining device and application systems
Experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices (routers, switches, etc.), internet connectivity, WiFi , VoIP phone systems and network management.
Proficient with Command-Line Interfaces
Skilled in hardware and software installation
Proficient with Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android operating systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Adhering to written technology policies and procedures and updating them as needed
Familiar with a range of software including MS Office, Google Suite, video conferencing
Familiar with a range of hardware, including computers, tablets, mobile phones, hotspots.
Willing to travel to client sites
A+, Network+, and/or Linux+ Certification desired
Ability to work well with individuals of various backgrounds and communication styles.
Required: Background check and fingerprint clearance and TB clearance.
Valid California driver's license with access to a reliable personal vehicle that can be used for company business, clean DMV printout with current personal automobile insurance
Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00
