Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school and at least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience related to the maintenance of heavy and light equipment and vehicles; or
An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Class C Driver's License.
Valid CA Class B Commercial Driver's License (Manual Transmission), with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsements, preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Maintain and service heavy equipment including dozers, graders, and trucks
Perform field repairs and safety inspections
Fabricate parts, weld, and complete light bodywork
Keep accurate maintenance records and manage parts inventory
Support shop upkeep and equipment transport
