Job Description

The System Validation Team is involved in the earliest stages of product design, and is responsible for verifying algorithms that ensure enterprise class goals are met for endurance (Program/Erase Cycles), QoS (Quality of Service), and Reliability from BOL (Beginning of Life) to EOL (End of Life).

  Job Description

  The Data Analytics team within the System Design Engineering group is involved in the early stages of product development, and is responsible for below under different test conditions:

  · Monitoring NAND flash memory failures and trends at the system level,

  · Analyzing algorithms that ensure solid state drives can meet performance and endurance/reliability requirements

  Essential duties and responsibilities

  · Evaluate feature changes or new features via drive data analysis

  · Work with firmware teams to add debug triggers in firmware code for feature analysis

  · Interface with test and software tools teams to ensure clean data pipeline during test cycle execution

  · Use in-house data analytics platform to:

  o develop scripts to parse and process incoming drive data from test labs

  o query, analyze and derive insights from processed data

  o provide feedback to systems engineers on observed issues and possible feature enhancements

  · Debug system level issues, engaging with systems and firmware engineers, as necessary

  · Develop scripts to increase efficiency and productivity

  · Transfer knowledge gained to other team members

  n, integration and validation for enterprise SSD products
• Perform detailed Failure Analysis on drives from Firmware Maturation Runs, engaging with System Architects and FW engineers, as necessary

  • Test script development to automate test validation
  • Develop data processing automation to demonstrate results
• Transfer knowledge gained to other team members

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• · Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field

  · 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: system integration, NAND device, SSD design and testing, failure analysis, data analysis

  · Some SQL knowledge is preferred

  · Knowledge of embedded software programming in C

  · Strong Python skills with experience using NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly

  · Previous experience with exploratory data analysis using Jupyter Notebooks

  · Previous experience with machine learning modelling is a plus

  · Self-motivated, detailed-oriented and strong team-player who can collaborate well with others

  · Excellent written, verbal and communication & interpersonal skills

  · Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
