DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is the journey level class within the Groundskeeper series. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new, unusual, or unique situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the work unit.
This class is distinguished from the Head Groundskeeper in that the latter is the advanced journey level class of the series where incumbents perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series, including providing technical and/or functional supervision over assigned staff, prioritizing work assignments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and intermittently acting as a job-site supervisor.

Applicants will be assessed on the application submitted. It is the applicant's responsibility to fill out the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application with complete information and adequate detail.
