We are seeking a skilled Solar Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in various environments, including Solar Installation sites, and will be proficient in both high and low voltage electrical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics and the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Solar Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair solar electrical wiring, solar equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of solar electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform solar electrical installations and repairs.
Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality of systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues by identifying problems with circuits or equipment.
Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations as well as the NEC standards.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on installation sites to ensure timely project completion.
Perform work at heights on roofs or elevated platforms as required.
Skills
Proficient in working with both high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and the ability to read blueprints accurately.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team on solar installation sites.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, or working in confined spaces and climbing rooftops.
