Event Lead Installer
Compensation: $30 hour to start
Employment type: Part-time
The Event Installer is responsible for loading and unloading event décor cargo, and setting up and striking (taking down) the event decor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Basic computer skills
Loads and unloads props, furniture, floral products, plants, trees and other event decor onto vehicles and trucks for delivery to clients, venues and to return products to Eventscapes.
Packs and unpacks props, furniture, floral products and other event decor.
Prepares, assembles, installs and uninstalls portable bars, furniture, fabric backdrops, chuppas, and other room décor throughout the event venue. May install products in entryways, on ceilings, floors, walls and columns.
May install and uninstall lighting fixtures to include: Par-cans, up lights.
Returns props, furniture, floral products and other event décor to appropriate locations for storage.
Works carefully to minimize damage and breakage of products.
Sweeps and removes debris from event venues and trucks to ensure venue is left clean and without damage.
May track and enter time and tasks assigned to work projects into time sheets.
Follows all safety guidelines according to company policies and procedures.
Warehouse work is included.
At times, work can be stressful and fast paced.
Probation for first 90 days.
QUALIFICATIONS:
PROVEN EVENT INSTALLATION, PROPS, DÉCOR & LIGHTING
Ability to LEAD A CREW
Ability to INTERACT WITH CLIENTS
Comfortable on ladders to 14’ ladders, experience on scissor lifts helpful
High school diploma or equivalent
Up to 1 year of PROVEN event set-up experience.
Ability to understand read and speak English.
Ability to interpret pull (load) sheets.
Familiarity with proper packing methods is helpful.
Ability to handle glass and fragile items safely.
Applicants need to be physically fit.
Good verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with the Logistics team.
Ability to multitask and deal with competing demands.
Ability to take direction and work in teams
Customer service orientation; able to maintain a professional demeanor with clients.
Good knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment that may include: Hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies and 8’ to 14’ ladders.
Ability to tolerate long work shifts and work flexible schedules to include evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel locally.
Ability to LIFT 50 POUNDS.
Clean DMV record a must!
ABLE TO DRIVE A LIGHT DUTY BOX TRUCK
Be prompt and have dependable transportation
Have "Daily email or text access"
90 day probation
Busiest times are Fridays and weekends BUT WE HAVE WEEKDAY SHIFTS AVAILABLE TOO!
