Monterey litigation firm hiring an accurate, efficient, and motivated Paralegal to join the team in support of one civil litigation attorney. Part Time or Full time options.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, makes accurate documents, set accurate calendar events with reminders and invites, complete task within court deadlines, have the ability to take responsibility for a portfolio of cases.
Current paralegal student, current law student or prior law firm experience preferred but not required; other general familiarity with a corporate office setting/work environment is also a plus.
DUTIES
Real Property, Landlord Tenant, Estate Planning, Civil Litigation, Business Transactions are primary practice areas.
Draft Pleadings, Motions, Points and Authorities, Declarations, , correspondence, research, Business Entities etc.
TECHNOLOGY
Proficiency in using Windows networked PCs, Microsoft word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw, CoCounsel, a variety of web based applications, and legal research are required.

COMPENSATION
Entry Level - 1 year civil litigation experience, 20-30 wpm typing speed, $25-30 starting compensation
1 - 3 years civil litigation experience 30 - 40 wpm typing speed, $30-35 starting compensation
3 - 10 years civil litigation experience, 40-50 wpm typing speed, $30-40 starting compensation
10+ years civil litigation experience, 50+ wpm typing speed, $40+ compensation
