About the RoleWe're seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager to play a pivotal role in advancing DNAnexus' accounting function. Reporting directly to the VP, Finance & Accounting, you'll drive technical accounting excellence while building the infrastructure needed to support our continued growth.What You'll DoAs a key member of our finance team, you'll lead technical accounting research and establish robust policies and procedures that ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. You'll oversee both internal and external reporting processes and provide critical support during annual audits. Beyond technical responsibilities, you'll work operationally across the organization—partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable processes that enable accurate, timely accounting and reporting.What You BringThis position demands deep technical accounting expertise, strong business judgment, and excellent collaborative skills. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and can balance technical rigor with practical execution. Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical accounting research and application across key areas including ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and other complex or judgmental estimatesPrepare and review financial statements and disclosures for annual audits as a private company, with readiness to support public-company financial reporting requirements as the business evolvesMaintain and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure ongoing alignment with evolving business operations and U.S. GAAP requirementsIdentify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance reporting timelines, accuracy, and automation across the close and reporting processPartner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Commercial, Sales Operations, Legal, BUs) in providing technical accounting guidance to operationalize business transactions and new arrangementsSupport the VP, Finance & Accounting in driving special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation, and accuracy across the Accounting functionServe as primary liaison with external auditors, managing audit requests and ensuring timely completion of annual audits
