TRADES DIVISION, INDUSTRIAL EXECUTION DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS

You will perform a variety of metal repair, fabrication, plan,

layout, and structural disassembly/assembly of aircraft and

aircraft components.

You will work with plastics and various metals such as aluminum,

titanium, steel, stainless steel, and alloys in the forms of

sheet metal, extrusions, tubing, honeycomb, castings, etc.

You will use industry standard methods to assemble metal

components designed for aircraft use such as solids rivets,

blind rivets, screws, and other hardware identified in

applicable references.

You will manufacture and install patches, splices,

reinforcements and use of replacement parts to repair damaged

components.

You will use measuring devices such as steel rules, drill

gauges, compasses, and other precision measuring devices.

You will disassemble, repair, assemble, modify, measure, and/or

check, as required, to process aircraft, aircraft engine

structures, components, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
