This outsourced restaurant bookkeeping and accounting firm is looking for a seasoned accountant/bookkeeper to handle day-to-day accounting for our clients. We are looking for a team player who is pro-active, responsive, organized, has impeccable phone and e-mail manners and is a problem solver. This person must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality. This role will begin as part-time and will very likely evolve into a full-time role after a probationary period.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong understanding of accounting, debits/credits, journal entries, reconciliations via QuickBooks Online (may be tested)

- Very knowledgeable of MS Excel and willing to learn new techniques (may be tested)

- Can successfully use Google Suite, Adobe Reader/Writer

- Able to consistently meet assigned deadlines

- Maintains professionalism in all verbal and written communications

- Detail-oriented with good follow-up skills

- Ensures that a strict level of confidentiality is always in place

- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with employees, clients and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results

- 3+ Years of experience in the retail/ hospitality accounting with multi-locations preferred but not required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

- Supervisory restaurant accounting bookkeeping (we use a team to process transactions and they perform essentially all clerical and data-entry requirements). However, from time to time, you may be required to perform these tasks.

- Running reports (financial, payroll, bank, POS, A/P subledger) and sending to clients.

- Troubleshooting spreadsheet models, calculations, etc. and making recommendations

- Analyzing year-over-year and period-over-period data for anomalies, trends and understanding and communicating fluctuations.

- Managing a small team to ensure client deliverables and deadlines are met, including assigning clear deliverables, mentorship and employee evaluations.

- Other duties as required to fulfill the role and meet client’s requirements.
