Pre-K Sunday School Teacher
The Sunday School Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children attending Sunday School at Capo Beach Church.
Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Plan with Children's Ministry Director the age-appropriate lesson plans based on biblical principles, ensuring alignment with the church's values and beliefs.
Utilize a variety of teaching materials and resources to create dynamic and interactive lessons.
Classroom Management:
Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
Oversee the check-in process.
Manage classroom behavior and encourage a respectful and supportive environment.
Spiritual Guidance:
Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage spiritual growth and understanding of a Biblical world view and Christian values.
Incorporate prayer into lessons to deepen the spiritual experience.
Communication:
Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about the curriculum, activities, and their child's progress.
Collaborate with other child care personal and church staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Safety and Well-being:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during Sunday School hours.
Follow the church's policies and procedures for child protection and emergency situations.
Training and Development:
Participate in regular meetings with the Children’s Ministry Director and Student Ministries Pastor for feedback and professional development.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and values.
Experience in teaching, preferably in a Sunday School or educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
Completion of the required training related to child safety and protection.
Willingness to undergo a background check.
Work Schedule:
Sunday 7 AM to 1 PM
Thursday 6 PM to 8 PM
Prep time flexible
