We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional patient care in our dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in delivering quality dental services while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during procedures for general dentistry.
- Maintain and update patient dental records accurately using dental terminology.
- Utilize Dentrix software for checking the schedule and managing patient information.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Take and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
- Assist in taking dental X-rays and processing them for diagnosis.
- Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during examinations and treatments.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Dental Assisting program or relevant certification.
- X-ray certification is required.
- Ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Ability to take accurate vital signs of patients.
- Familiar with infection prevention and control in a dental setting.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Dentrix software is preferred.
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is a plus.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
