Busy construction company in Cypress, CA is looking for a temporary H.R. Manager.
We know you have experience:
-7-10 years in HR/Payroll
Qualifications needed:
Professional demeanor
Ability to perform basic administrative, clerical and data entry duties related to the department
Good interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgement, attention to detail and accuracy to maintain confidentiality
Ability to professionally interact with employees, subcontractors/vendors
Must be able to work with limited supervision and accept instructions
Understanding of labor practices and techniques
Understanding of State and Federal labor standards (California Labor Code and Davis-Bacon Act)
Ability to set priorities and with excellent time management skills; enjoy working independently with clear deadlines and deliverables
Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations
Ability to maintain complex and automated records in an orderly and accurate manner
Ability to deal with vendors and clients in an efficient and professional manner
Communication skills - ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally
Ability to generate specialized computer reports
Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines.
Strong analytical and technical skills
Excellent time management skills;
Enjoy working independently or in a team environment with clear deadlines and deliverables
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
What You'll Do
Employee management, benefits administration, risk management/compliance, and client support.
Support extensive client base with all facets of Human Resources. Perform Human Resources support work under tight deadlines, including a multitude of activities such as including benefits administration, employee relations, workers compensation, leave management, employee on-boarding, employee terminations, and policy administration.
Deliver exceptional service on time and on budget
Identify and escalate issues to management for resolution.
Enter data and maintain files and records. Prepare all necessary reports.
Prepare documents and maintain appropriate records.
Assist with periodic audits of Personnel and Payroll documents.
Systematically verify and audit data for completeness and accuracy according to established controls.
Schedule & participate in training and instruction as directed.
Demonstrate the ability to achieve complex work.
Perform moderately complex project work.
Generate ideas to maximize engagement profitability.
This will most likely be a six to eight month temporary placement.
