Position Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting production and procurement functions to facilitate efficient material flow throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, condition, and documentation.
Accurately record received materials in the company’s inventory management system.
Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments according to customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate daily shipping schedules to meet production and customer delivery deadlines.
Maintain organized storage areas and proper labeling of all materials
Collaborate with purchasing, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure all items are properly accounted for and meet company standards.
Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental procedures within the warehouse and shipping areas.
Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or losses promptly.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records for auditing and traceability purposes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, and inventory management systems.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, ETC.)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated reliability and commitment to workplace safety.
