As an Assistant you will provide a variety of customer service and professional support to the Stylist. We are located in Newport Beach off the 73 freeway. (See Map)
We are seeking someone who is serious about pursuing a career as a stylist in the hair industry, has a strong work ethic and is ready and enthusiastic to learn. Our goal is to create state of the art stylist who learn from and train with the best. Education is available for growth and the ability to build a clientele within the salon. You will receive on-site training directly from the owner and other stylists and learn to be the best with hair techniques and professional products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet clients and welcome them to stylist station with a SMILE
- Prepare clients for services
- Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
- Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection creams)
- Learn about retail hair care products and benefits
- Assist clients with scheduling and booking appointments
- Apply hair color and apply other chemical treatments as directed
- Provide client with professional blow dry and style hair
- Clean all work areas. This includes sweeping floors, wiping down styling and hair washing stations, and sterilizing all styling tools after use.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times. This includes wearing flattering clothing, trendy hairstyles and practicing good personal hygiene.
- Responsible to stock inventory items, fill out purchase request forms, and inventory reports
