Description An established company in the construction industry is actively seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage its accounts payable operations. About the Role:As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in the financial team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy responsibilities like processing payments, reconciling invoices, and ensuring that the company's bills are paid on time. You'll collaborate closely with vendors and various departments within our company to streamline our finance procedures.Your key role extends beyond dealing with numbers - you'll be a crucial team player assuring the overall financial health and integrity of our organization. This is an opportunity to grow professionally, contribute significantly to a high-performing team, and make a mark in a booming industry.Key Responsibilities:

Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.

Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Perform day to day management of all payment cycle activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Maintain historical records by filing documents and ensure these records are current for audit purposes.

Facilitate the prompt payment of invoices, responding to vendor inquiries about payment status and discrepancies.

Assist in month-end closing procedures and other accounting projects as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in the construction industry.

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting software.

Knowledge of construction accounting software is a plus.

Excellent organization and communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
