Job Summary:
Perform tasks including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs,
troubleshooting and changeovers in a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
o To competently support manufacturing by providing technical support, along with leadership in
dealing with breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
o Perform required preventative maintenance as assigned, report machine deficiencies, irregularities
and unsafe conditions.
o Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment errors whether it be mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic,
electrical, electronic, or with PLC.
o Work with maintenance management system for work order creation, completion, inventory usage,
etc.
o Learn and understand the operation of all equipment to confidently identify problem root cause by
reading relevant schematics, assembly drawings, and other work instructions as well knowledge
acquired when documents are not readily available.
o Commit to following safe work practices including Lock Out Tag Out, Hot work permit, etc.
o Attending and participating in training related to production, safety, quality and machinery for
professional growth when required.
o Follow all Food Safety and employee safety policies for the protection of you, the employees,
customers and consumers.
o Organize and clean-up workstation.
o This position will consist of daily and weekend overtime.
o Perform other duties as required per business needs.
Skills & Qualifications:
o High school graduate with a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing environment
following all safety and quality requirements.
o Preferable mechanical, electrical, electronic or other certificate/degree related to maintenance.
o Experience with conveyor systems, pumps, motors, and other industrial machinery.
o Ability to determine and help maintenance department maintain critical parts inventory.
o Ability to communicate any issues or problems to upper management while also being able to work
with other staff members to get a particular job completed.
o Hard working, ability to multi-task, good listening skills, can take directions, and communicate
effectively.
o Good problem-solving and leadership skills and takes initiative to get things done.
o Self-driven, respectful, energetic, detail oriented, positive attitude and be adaptive to changes.
o Previous experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus, especially with packaging
equipment.
o Basic Computer skills
