Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?The need for advanced analytics has become essential to provide informed decision making to help drive Transmission & Distribution into top quartile performance in safety, reliability, and affordability. The Advanced Analytics and Process Improvement (AAPI) organization provides T&D business partners with dashboards/visualizations that will provide tactical and operational data to drive daily decision making. The AAPI group is integrating data processing, analysis, and visualizations using the numerous applications and is currently expanding SAS to streamline and automate manual report processing.The Advisor of Analytics & Visualization will interact with business lines across T&D and SCE to turn their vision into reality, by creating efficient and impactful tools that can be used to analyze information in real time. The Advisor will build coding logic to create Datamart’s that drive all visualizations and support the development of the specialists within the Workflow Tools team. He/She will work with data visualization tools including all SAS tools (Enterprise Guide, Visual Analytics, etc.), Microsoft tools (e.g. PowerBL), and GIS tools (e.g. ESRI) as well as work with the Technology Integration group on additional tools.This position will report directly to the Manager of the Workflow Tools team of the Data Visualization division (within AAPI) - under the Asset Management Strategy and Engineering (AMS&E) organization of T&D.QualificationsA day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

Leads and manages innovation approaches to develop and implement analytic solutions to T&Dorganizations using analytical software and visualization tools. Responsible for devising models to monitor and forecast operational performance

Engages and influences various management levels of T&D leadership, develops recommendations, and provides consulting on analytical solutions to resolve business

needs

Leads cross functional teams or participates as a team member during implementation of

specialized projects

Evaluates and negotiates scope of analytical endeavors, resource allocation and timelines with department, division and region management in support of departmental and/or company operations

Develops and assists or makes presentations to department and division management on visualizations related to initiatives supporting T&D strategies

The essentials

Seven (7) years or more of functional experience in performing advanced analytics (analysis, interpretation and communication of data)

Advanced Analytical experience in building databases using one the following software: Microsoft Access, SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, PowerBI, and/or Tableau or similar tool

The preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Business, or Technical Discipline

Three or more years of managing projects, programs or portfolios

Experience with developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Strong proficiency using data visualization software

Demonstrated experience in identifying analytical solutions for business needs

Demonstrated experience in the conversion of analytics to data visualizations
