Stephens Electrical, Inc. is hiring talented, experienced, versatile individuals to join our team.
Must Haves:
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints
Must be familiar with National Electrical Code, State and Local requirements
Must be skilled in the layout and bending of conduit, panel make up, pulling wire, and have proper tradesman tools
Typical work will include commercial, industrial, residential & service calls. Current types of projects are schools, power plants, juvenile halls, police departments, and service contracts.
Duties:
Performs and-or supervises work involved in the maintenance, repair, replacement, installation, testing, adjustment and troubleshooting circuits and components, power generating equipment, electrical wiring and equipment, instrumentation employed in the operation of wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, sub-stations, power plants, and related facilities.
Electrician Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience on commercial, industrial, and residential service projects
Must be skilled with interpreting projects plans, specs, and project submittals
Must have experience installing panels, running/bending conduit, pulling wire, labeling, and other wiring disciplines
Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer
switches and switch gears.
Complete work orders and record material utilized on projects
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image
Demonstrated leadership and project success are expected
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Must be organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing crews, material cost control and scheduling
In-depth knowledge of the NFPA codes and has strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and OSHA safety standards
General Requirements:
Must have a clean DMV and be insurable
Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet)
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
Able to perform work on uneven surfaces; frequently climb ladders, on/off equipment and work from various heights
Able and willing to walk, stand, bend, and sit for long periods of time
Able to use your hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling
Often works individually with little supervision as well as in team environments.
Communicates effectively and appropriately when dealing with customers, other departments, and/or personnel at all levels
Ability to travel for projects may be required. Company will pay a daily subsistence rate for out-of-town work
Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification or Vocational school graduate or Graduate from accredited J.A.T.C.
Pay and Fringe Benefits based upon the D.I.R. prevailing wage rate for position classification.
