Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Robert Half Contracts Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a great construction firm in South Sacramento! This Accounts Receivable Specialist would play an essential role in the company handling tasks such as: Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data Balance the cash and checks to the daily landfill tickets Ensure the timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the daily tickets and payments, credits and debit memos Prepare daily tickets for posting which includes running tapes and correcting tickets in computer Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures Prepare deposit write-ups and bank deposits Deposit customer checks through the Panini hardware Coordinate bank pickups with bank couriers Communicate with customers Process Credit Applications received from customers Verify discrepancies by and resolve customers’ billing issues Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers Run various daily computer reports and special reports as requested Prepare month end billing invoices and statements Prepare month end “adjusted” billing statements for special customers Facilitate and complete monthly close-out procedures including balancing month end to General Ledger Prepare a month end control card and reconcile to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted Prepare/assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to various regulatory agencies Prepare information for annual audits Assist supervisor on audits Prepare and process gypsum billings Generate reports detailing accounts receivable statusAdministrative Duties: Answer phones (backup to front desk) Support Accounts Payable Assist with company events and lunches Perform other duties and special projects assigned by supervisorThis position is full-time onsite (no option for hybrid), and the ideal candidate would have 2-3 years' experience in AR.
