Description We are partnering with a respected law firm in Sacramento, CA, to source a highly skilled Civil Litigation Attorney for a long-term contract role. This position will focus on providing comprehensive discovery and law & motion support for high-profile cases involving sensitive subject matter. The role is primarily remote, but candidates must be local to Sacramento for occasional on-site needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney with substantial experience in civil litigation or personal injury to contribute to a dedicated legal team on complex cases.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and document requests, managing document production, and supporting deposition preparation.

Prepare motions (e.g., motions to dismiss, summary judgment), draft oppositions and replies, and conduct legal research to support persuasive court submissions.

Assist with organizing case materials, including briefs and memoranda, to ensure accuracy and support trial readiness.

Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to align discovery and motion strategies with overall case goals, offering insights on procedural issues.

Maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality, handling all case materials with discretion due to the sensitive nature of cases.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in California.

3-5+ years of experience in Civil Litigation or Personal Injury.

Demonstrated experience in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and coordinating depositions.

Strong proficiency in law & motion work, including preparing motions, drafting oppositions and replies, and supporting oral arguments.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.

Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Remote, but candidates must be local to Sacramento, CA for occasional in-person meetings or case needs.
