Create 3D models of components and assemblies
Create 2D engineering drawings of parts and assemblies
Revision control and maintenance of technical documentation in the PLM system
Revise parts, assemblies, and technical drawings in accordance with change control protocol
Communicate with suppliers regarding CAD data transfers, model/drawing updates, technical questions, etc.
Qualifications :
A technical degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, CAD Drafting, etc
Previous experience as a Mechanical CAD Designer, Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Drafter / CAD Drafter, etc
Experience with 3D modeling/2D drawing software ( CATIA V5 experience preferred , otherwise AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc )
Expertise with PDM / PLM software ( SmarTeam ) is a PLUS
