Methodist Hospital is home to a 158 acute-care bed facility with 1120 employees 283 medical staff and 29 Emergency Department beds. Methodist Hospital also owns and operates Bruceville Terrace – a 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing long-term care facility adjacent to the hospital that provides care for the elderly as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Methodist Hospital is home to the Family Medicine Residency Program an accredited and nationally recognized program which provides resident physicians with specialty training in primary care family medicine. Together the hospital and residency program implemented a ground-breaking curriculum addressing the identification treatment and assistance of human trafficking victims and created a one-of-a-kind health clinic for victims the Human Trafficking Medical Home.ResponsibilitiesMethodist Hospital a member of Dignity Health is currently looking for an experienced Pharmacist to add to their hospital staff. The Pharmacist provides timely accurate and complete pharmaceutical care which includes delivery of the appropriate product as well as drug information and drug usage interventions. The ideal candidate will easily demonstrate competency in patient care for neonate pediatric adult and geriatric patients.QualificationsRequirements:

Pharmacist must have a California Registered Pharmacist License.

Requires demonstrated ability to enforce formulary decisions of the medical staff maintain accurate and complete records provide instruction and preceptorship on the subject of pharmacotherapeutics its use and application.

Must effectively communicate both in written form and verbally.

Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions pharmaceutical supplies drugs chemicals and biologicals federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions pharmacokinetics supply management and inventory control.

Acute care in-patient hospital experience preferred.
