Auburn based employer seeking an individual with at least 1 year experience with Benefits and California Leave of Absence Administration. Assisting with the processing of all benefits to include open enrollment for health insurance, assisting with the filing and managing of workers’ compensation claims and communicating and managing leave law options to employees This is a full time position. Remote work is not available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer and track leaves of absence (FMLA/CFRA/PDL/PFL/ADA) ensuring eligibility and assigning appropriate leaves.

Administering employee benefits, including new and open enrollment periods, for health, dental, vision, section 125 and 401k.

Process/balance medical billing resolving discrepancies with insurance provider.

Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files

Maintains benefit spreadsheets and accurate data entry of payroll deductions for benefits

Assisting in the administration of workers’ compensation claims.

Ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act requirements including benefit eligibility and required reporting

Audit 1095C annually

Actively participate in developing and meeting department goals and objectives

Perform a variety of other HR/Payroll functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with benefits administration including new and open enrollment periods

Knowledge of standard human resources concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to apply them to assigned tasks

Payroll processing experience is a plus

Experience with Human Resources/Payroll systems such as ADP

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and briefly communicate across various audience levels

Ability to understand, evaluate, and make judgments regarding assigned tasks

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Accountability and integrity, friendly, professional demeanor, ability to get along with people and be a team player

Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times

Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes

Good attendance is a requirement of the position

Strong active listening skills
