PART-TIME SHOP & YARD HELPER – FLEET SERVICES (16–24 Hrs/Week)
Starting at $17-$19/hr Hands-On Manual Labor Growth Potential
We are seeking a part-time Shop & Yard Helper to support our Fleet Services division. This is a manual labor, entry-level position working under direct supervision of our Fleet Services Manager and shop technicians.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to be part of a team, and is reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Responsibilities
You will assist technicians and the Fleet Services Manager with a wide variety of tasks, including:
Fleet Maintenance Support
Supervised brake repair assistance
Tire removal and installation assistance (truck & trailer)
Helping techs with repair tasks, tool organization, and cleanup
Washing equipment, steam cleaning, sweeping, and general shop upkeep
Yard & Facility Maintenance
General yard labor, clean-up, and organization
Fence repair or maintenance
Assisting with facility repairs (steel wall panels, gates, shelving, etc.)
Basic landscaping or weed spraying (as directed)
Supporting repairs on company vehicles, trailers, and support equipment
Inventory & Parts Assistance
Helping organize parts/storage areas
Light materials handling
Running for parts or supplies when needed
Schedule & Hours
16–24 hours per week, depending on availability and company needs
Flexible hours — scheduled directly with Fleet Services Manager
Could expand into full-time (40 hrs, M–F) if performance, attitude, and reliability meet company expectations
Compensation
Starting: $17.00 per hour
Paid weekly

Requirements
Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor
Must be reliable, safety-minded, and able to follow direction
Valid driver’s license preferred
Truck trailer diesel Mechanical experience is a plus but not required
Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions at times
Construction skills experience is a plus as well, concrete finishing curb, sprinkler, irrigation, planting etc
