Huft Home Services, one of the premier home services companies is recruiting for a new Waste and Recycle driver. This is a full time position with 100% medical, dental, vision coverage plus 401K, paid vacation and holidays. The right candidate will have a clean driving record, must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check. Must be organized with very good attention to detail, and the ability to drive a 20' box truck or 16' stake bed. Below is an overview of the position, this is an entry level position with advancement opportunities.
Overview:
Position requires driving to multiple job sites daily to pick up and load large recyclable and trash items I.E HVAC systems, duct work, misc. packaging etc. The driver will need to efficiently plan and execute their day, so all the daily jobs are picked up. When trash truck becomes full the position requires you drop off at the needed sites such as garbage dump or Huft warehouses for recycle items. Loading of truck efficiently so space is utilized to the maximum is required to finish within daily work hours. Please reply today and send us your resume!
Tasks: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Ability to follow basic direction
Loading and unloading materials on recycle truck
Use of GPS/mapping for daily routes
Basic phone and text coordination throughout the day
May be called upon to perform the duties of subordinate levels.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: In addition to the tasks listed, the ideal candidate shall have at minimum:
Experience in driving oversized vehicle safely is desired
Education, Certifications, Licenses:
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Valid California Drivers License
Clean Driving Record
Work Environment:
Majority of day will be driving. Stops will be at Clients homes for loading, visiting trash dumps and Huft warehouses for drop offs.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift upwards of 60lbs
Ability to enter and exit motor vehicle multiple times a day
Ability to enter and exit the flat bed of a motor vehicle and move large material to fit in vehicles bed multiple times a day
