Description Our staffing agency is currently supporting a client in San Diego with an urgent need for an Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk. This is an on-site, contract role with an immediate start. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AP processes and be ready to step in to assist with high-volume invoice processing.Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing: Accurately process and code a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals and compliance with company policies.
Data Entry: Input financial data into the accounting system with attention to detail and efficiency.
Payment Preparation: Assist with preparing payments through checks, ACH, and wire transfers, ensuring all payments are timely.
Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and resolve any billing issues.
Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions, monitor AP aging reports, and assist with month-end closing tasks.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of all AP transactions and documentation.
Requirements
