We offer care, expert staff and state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing needs of our community and are committed to the values of dignity, collaboration, justice, stewardship and excellence.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Under the direction of Physician, prepares patients for examination and assists with examinations and minor office surgeries.QualificationsMinimum:
Completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
Current Medical Assistant certification required.
California State Phlebotomy Certification Required (within one year of hire).
Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association).
Demonstrates skills in taking vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
Knowledge of sterile technique and handling of infectious waste.
Ability to work as a team and communicate well, and interact appropriately with others.
Able to work in spite of frequent interruptions.
High level of concentration and attention to detail.
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED.
Additional EMT or equivalent experience preferred.
One year experience in physician/clinic setting preferred.
