We are seeking an accounting specialist for our fast growing residential property management startup. We currently manage around 50 single family homes and are growing rapidly each month. We are seeking a part time accounting specialist and bookkeeper responsible for managing the books on each of our properties, and ultimately ensuring all data is properly inputted.
HomeSimple is fast growing residential property management startup that currently manages 50+ single family homes, and is growing at a rapid pace. We have a need for an experienced bookkeeper to help us solidify our systems and ultimately run our accounting department.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
-Collecting all invoices from vendors and ensuring prompt payment
-Obtaining direct deposit info and setting up vendors within our property management software (Buildium)
-Inputting management fees and other recurring payments in our software
-Keeping all invoices organized within our system
-Creating and monitoring recurring charges within our system
-Determining the funds amount that is due to owners each month and organizing them into a spreadsheet so our COO can distribute funds
-Making miscellaneous payments on behalf of our owners such as HOA payments, solar lease payments, property taxes, mortgage, etc.
-Sending and reviewing owner statements
-Responding to questions that owners, tenants, and vendors may have in regards to the accounting of a specific property
-Ultimately, managing the entire accounting department of our portfolio
Compensation:
$35 per hour (independent contractor)
Requirements:
-Must have a reliable computer to perform your work
-Must live in the San Diego area and be willing to meet with our COO once per week for weekly 60 minute recap
-Minimum 2 years experience in property management accounting or related field
-Experience with Buildium or related property management software preferred
