Position Overview:

The Assistant Innkeeper is broadly responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Inn at Moonlight Beach (IAMB) and oversees IAMB’s reservations, guest services, housekeeping, additional offerings of food and beverage, educational workshops and scheduling healing services. Working hours include weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate is a responsible, detail oriented, conscious individual willing and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment while having a beginner’s mind to learn our unique systems from the ground up and maintaining a good professional attitude and the best customer service to guests and love and respect for co-workers.

Seeking: Full Time & Part Time Assistant Innkeepers

Job Type: 20 - 40 hours @ $25 (dependent on experience), plus commission & benefits

Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role)

● Deliver coherent and exceptional guest experience. Maintain a high level of availability with guests throughout the property.

● Assist Guests with making reservations and provide accurate information for our offerings in person, through telephone and email inquiry.

● Assist guest check-in and check-out. Respond to guest requests throughout shift.

● Conduct retail sales and assist with creating retail products (herb infused honey, olive oil, jams, blend teas).

● Develop mastery of our offerings including preparing lush food boards, Beautiful bath Trays, organizing and delivering Foot Soak set ups, In-Suite add-on fulfillment in organized and mindful manner. Honey & olive oil tasting and eventually

educational workshops.

● Make sure rooms are up to standard on attention to detail, sanitation, quality and activation. Maintain excellence in guest suites, amenity areas, and the lobby. Assist housekeepers with room stripping and timely laundry turning (washing and

folding).

● Adhere to company policies, procedures, and appearance guidelines.

● Act with a sense of urgency.

You will report directly to the Operation Manager and the owners. Starting at 20 - 40 hours/week at $25+ (dependant on experience) / hour starting rate plus 5% commission on eligible product sales, massage, and WELL package upsell, 10% for WELL package preparations & hosting workshops, and 20% for preparing room service items; paid biweekly less applicable taxes. (We reserve the right to make changes to the commission structure as necessary.)

If offered FT, the Full time Innkeeper Position has the following benefits:

● PTO (sick + vacation) - 80 hours (Accrual from day 1. Able to use after 90 days)

● 1.5 X pay for Overtime, Christmas and Thanksgiving ( for hourly employees)

● Quarterly Wellness Benefit - 1x 60 min massage or 60 min private yoga session

● Discounts on all Inn products and services. Includes guest suite bookings for employees and immediate family only.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Associate degree, preferably in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Two years in hospitality in hotels or restaurants, including broad experience with reservation systems, guest services, housekeeping.

Qualifications:

● Excellent attention to detail, a high level of organization, and the ability to multitask, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines on multiple projects

● Demonstrated ability to communicate and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.

● Exceptional guest service skills

● Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with all IAMB standards.

● Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Reservation and Property Management programs)

● Ability to quickly prioritize and address issues in order of importance to IAMB operations

● Ability to quickly problem solve and make sensible decisions.

● Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs

● Pushing/Pulling, Lifting/Carrying: Average weight up to 50 lbs occasionally
