Position Title: Host / Hostess
Job Details:
Dedicated to providing guests with superior service at the The First Turn Restaurant, Stretch Run Grill, and Club House Terrace restaurants located within the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.
Friday through Sunday. Must be able to work all race days, which includes weekends during the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 2025 racing season.
Time Commitment:
Friday – Sunday (20 to 30 hrs. week), seasonal, non-exempt
2025 Season: October 30th – December 1st (Closed Mon, Tue, Wed, TH), except Opening Day
Position Reports To: Paul A. Porter, Director of Simulcasting & Racetrack Services
Requirements, Skills & Experience
Must be 18 years of age with a valid drivers license
Ability to follow pre established policies and procedures
Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality
Patience and Organization are a must
Responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner and showing guests to tables
Monitors guests needs and the workflow of the restaurants
Must keep station clean at all times and be able to communicate, interact with guests, think on your feet, handle crowds and put guests at ease.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time in and out of the sun.
Answer phones as needed.
Hourly Rate: $16.50 per hour
