We are seeking a VERY experienced line cook to work in Balboa Park at Panama 66. please read the whole ad before applying.

You MUST be able to work Wednesday through Sunday NIGHTS 5 shifts per week.

We guarantee that you will not make less than $25 an hour with tips (our cooks average $27-28 an hour) and you will likely make MORE on busy days (which just so happen to be Wednesday through Sunday, which are days we need you!)

If you have the experience we are looking for we will pay you $20 an hour.

Tips are on average another $7-8+ an hour. Most of our cooks are bringing in $27-28 an hour.

We will guarantee you'll bring in $25 at least.

We are seeking someone who has an EXPO brain and EXPO experience as well as experience cooking many different stations. We cook scratch food but we also have volume so a mix of speed and finesse is key.

As a Cook you are responsible for being a large part of our super service by:

Preparing all food items to order, following recipes and procedures

Ensuring portions are proper and food is on point

Following all safety and sanitation guidelines

Restocking / Prepping items that are/were depleted during the shift


Ensuring food is properly stored in containers and storage areas including labeling and dating procedures


Becoming familiar with all new menu items and procedures

Performing duties in other areas of the kitchen as required

Maintaining and properly using all kitchen equipment including but not exclusive to fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers

Supporting the Team whenever needed (e.g, call-outs, catering, etc.)

Assisting with the deep cleaning schedule

Requirements include:

Minimum of 3 years’ restaurant industry experience working on the line
 ACTUALLY COOKING real food

Understanding professional cooking and knife handling skills


Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure


Ability to take direction and work in a team environment


Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and Team Members
