Associate Attorney - Family Law

We are a boutique family law firm located in Carlsbad with a thriving practice, actively seeking an experienced associate attorney to join our team on a full-time basis. As an integral part of our firm, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our continued growth and advancement. Responsibilities:

- Maintain effective client communication and provide comprehensive case management consistent with the client's goals

- Draft professional and accurate emails and correspondence with clients and opposing counsel

- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, declarations, judgments and memorandums

- Making court appearances and attending meetings with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals

- Assisting Senior Attorneys with litigation support, conducting research, writing motions and points and authorities

- Assisting with client relations and intakes

Qualifications:

- Candidate must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the State Bar

- 3 years of family law experience and a strong working knowledge of the San Diego Superior Court Local Rules, CA Family Code, and Code of Civil Procedure

- Excellent communication and analytical skills

- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with strong time management abilities

-Ability to handle multiple cases, manage deadlines, prioritize and effectively communicate with staff, clients and court

- Demonstrates superior skills writing motions, declarations, trial briefs, and discovery motions

- Resourceful, independent worker capable of working at a fast pace

- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the entire process of a family law case, from inception to conclusion, and adeptly anticipates and executes the subsequent steps required to bring the case to a resolution.

- Familiarity with financial disclosure requirements and discovery procedures

-Exhibits willingness to assist Senior Attorneys with their caseload, alongside managing their own workload effectively.

- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism

-Displays strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Job Type and Hours:

The position is full-time (35 to 40 hours per week). Candidate must be available to work from our office in Carlsbad.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this role is: $95,000 - $130,000 (but ultimately will depend on experience), with the opportunity to earn bonuses.
