Are you an experienced litigator who is looking for a flexible work-life balance and to get compensated based on factors that matter - productivity, success, and/or business generation? Look no further. We are looking for a smart, confident, and experienced lawyer with expertise in employment litigation to represent individuals in class actions and/or single plaintiff cases. We mostly represent plaintiffs in our employment practice, we do some employment defense – this makes us better attorneys on both sides of the proverbial v. We are a small, tight-knit, and family-like firm of experienced litigators looking for an attorney to join our rapidly expanding practice.
This position will involve independently handling all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, court appearances, taking/defending of depositions, trial preparation, and trial work. We offer a unique compensation package – including both a competitive base salary ($100,000 to $200,000), as well as productivity/performance-based bonuses.
Our preference is a fulltime employee, but would be open to parttime applicants.
Job requirements:
Strong working knowledge of civil procedure and evidence.
Experience drafting pleadings, discovery (both requests and responses), motions, settlement demands, and mediation briefs.
Experience working with clients directly.
Trial experience.
Ability to independently identify issues and to litigate strategically.
Strong legal and factual investigation skills.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Admitted to practice in the state of California.
