Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this position are to operate and/or set up CNC lathes, and to use measuring equipment to ensure the production of high quality parts according to specifications.
The hours for this position are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Mon. thru Fri.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operate and/or setup CNC lathes
Change program in order to make parts to print.
Produce and maintain all part characteristics according to specifications with tolerances as low as .001".
Visually inspect tools for excessive wear.
Select and install tooling as required by the documentation.
Inspect parts for acceptance using proper inspection procedures
Maintain and replace fluids daily in the machines.
Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Assist shop production by helping co-workers.
Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts.
The ability to lift 30lbs and remain standing for a full shift.
Be able to set tooling and make offsets on Fanuc controls.
Experience with common inspection equipment used in the industry.
Reliable mode of transportation.
The successful candidate will have:
As an operator, have the ability to learn how to read a print and use measuring devices
As a Machinist, at least 1 year experience setting up CNC lathes and be able to read and understand G code.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $43,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year based on experience
