Pelican Packaging, a high-tech semiconductor processing and small component packaging company, has immediate openings for an engineering technician.
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following:
Setup and fine tuning of automatic machines.
Adapting or reconfiguring existing machines to accommodate new products.
Machining of parts as needed to support machine setups.
Wiring of motors and I/O’s.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with machines.
Continuous machine improvements.
Train operators and technicians on proper machine setup and operation procedures.
Requirement:
Excellent mechanical know-how.
Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to respond promptly and effectively to changes in situation.
Beneficial experience:
Tunning and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment.
Wiring and troubleshooting of I/O’s and motors.
CNC machining.
Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI).
FMEA, Process Control, 8D CAR, and 5S.
Familiarity with Solid Works for creating and modifying drawings.
Tech school certifications.
