Experience is required!
Essential Functions:
1. Field fabricate, size, and install sheet metal duct, fittings, equipment, and accessories
2. Duct layout in preparation for installation
3. Ability to properly size and alter duct runs and fittings as a result of trade obstacles and routing
4. Properly follow installation detail, industry standards, and instructions of supervisor through the installation process
5. Ability to lead other members of the crew in the absence of a Foreman on Superintendent
6. Properly execute necessary field modifications to ductwork when required
7. Fabricate, install, and modify duct (square, rectangular, oval, and round) as required for the depicted installation of a given system
8. Understand how to properly utilize hand and power tools to manipulate material in a manner required for installation
9. Ability to comfortably work at elevated levels in a safe manner
10. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Complete kit of hand and power tools to accomplish assigned work
Minimum Experience required: 5+ years commercial HVAC installation and Air Balance
Skills Required:
Proficiency with the use of hand and power tools
Certifications in the use of scissor/fork lifts, boom lifts, and fall protection equipment
Ability to layout duct runs and maintain required elevations and clearances
Proficiency in generating material lists and detailing to-be-fabricated ductwork
Effective communication skills.
Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively represent company and communicate with customers and others at varying technical levels.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending, grasping, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling and sitting.
Ladder and scissor lift use
Frequent kneeling, squatting and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
The job is assigned to an indoor and outdoor environment with variable noise levels, uncontrolled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous substances.
