We are a growing trucking company seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a General Mechanic and Equipment Control Specialist. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with expertise in truck maintenance and a commitment to operational excellence and driver support.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance and Road Service
Perform general maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
Conduct road service on company units as required.
Execute 90-day inspections (BIT).
Equipment Management and Control
Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment inventory, including chassis, flatbeds, company trailers, and leased trailers.
Manage inventory of mooring equipment and assist with flatbed mooring procedures.
Oversee plate installation and actualizations of CARB certificates.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment in the assigned area.
Driver and Administrative Support
Provide excellent customer service and attention to our drivers.
Assist drivers by providing documentation such as Proof of Deliveries (POD's) and seals.
Assist with making copies and other administrative tasks for drivers.
Requirements
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required to move company units.
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for inventory control.
Ability to adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
Strong customer service skills.
Work Schedule
Days: Monday through Friday
Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (hours may vary and some weekends may be required).
