Hi, We are currently seeking a Seasoned Technical Director to join our Direct Client on full time basis. Position: Technical Director Location: San Francisco, CA ( remote for now) Type of Hire: Full Time Your Role As a Technical Director:
- You'll have the challenge of setting the overall tech direction and vision
- Take responsibility for high level architecture and evolve it to meet the product vision and business needs
- Responsible for building the payments platform supporting multiple payments across multiple geographies
- Build a lasting relationship and communication bridges with other teams
- Act as technical liaison both for Internal tech and 3rd parties, and be able to clearly communicate both the business value and the technical solutions
- Work with the teams to ensure that processes are in place to ensure the right tradeoffs between quality and delivery speed
- Perform code reviews
- Work with the team to set coding standards and ensure they are followed
- Accountable for technical quality
- Scale and be agile in terms of product delivery in order to meet rapidly evolving commercial objectives.
- 10+ years of software development experience in building scalable applications using Java, Node, reactJS etc
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
- Good experience in partnering product and program management teams
- Strong experience in successfully delivering projects from discovery to going live
- Successful in building strong engineering teams
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team
- Experience building payment systems
- Designed and built complex systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling)
- Experience with critical, 24x7 systems
- Knowledge of functional architecture
- Experience working with cloud services highly desirable
