The National IT Treasury Service Division(TSD) has an immediate opening for an Assistant Vice President(AVP) for Treasury Global Compute Operations, reporting to the Treasury Services Division, Vice President for Services Delivery, Security Operations, and Governance, Risk and Compliance. This is a leadership role that oversees critical operations. The role will be directly accountable andresponsible for all Treasury on-premise, hybrid, and cloud compute operations, with focus on continuous automation under a multiple-boundary global operating model.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a business-minded technologist to innovate and operate solutions for the Federal Reserve hosted systems for the U.S. Treasury. As a key contributor, the role will provide broad perspective and thought leadership to develop and implement key strategies and critical operational priorities. This is a key and critical role that will lead multiple TSD and Third-Party service provider teams to ensure consistent, highly effective day-to-day operational management of multiple distinct FISMA and SAFR Policy based Compute boundaries.This role will work closely with TSD Leadership to define and execute a transitional and steady state strategy to drive transition from current-state segmented operations to an overarching global operations model.

As Cloud Technology continues its evolution at a blistering pace, making it feasible to transition or modernize existing applications, or build new, the daily operational compute landscape must shift as well. The long-term transition from on-premise to hybrid to full cloud-enabled systems will require anagile and highly effective global operations model that is capable of supporting a rapidly changing, highly complex and highly integrated digital landscape.

What You Will Do:

  • The Treasury Services Global Compute Ops AVP role will be the leader defining the strategy and leading the execution of transition from current separate day-to-day compute operating environments into a singular loosely coupled, overarching, global operations approach.
  • The Global Ops AVP will apply their broad expertise in on-premise, hybrid, and cloud operations with strong skills and capabilities in agility, collaboration, communications, innovation, efficiency, influencing, human networking, planning, and building stakeholder confidence regarding daily operations across a complex ecosystem
  • Requires focused planning and execution partnership across Architecture, Engineering, Customer Engagement, and Security Operations/GRC to ensure stable, resilient, and secure systems.
  • Develop and lead in the implementation of large-scale Command Center Operations with 24 by 7 coverage across multiple physical and virtual sites.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders (CIOs, Senior Treasury Executives, and other business and technology stakeholders) as well as support objectives and key results with partner National IT Operational leaders
  • Collaborate, engage and direct multiple Third-Party Service Providers to ensure secure, resilient, and durable operating environments
  • Anticipate changes in business environments and collaborate across the Federal Reserve and Treasury
  • Serve as the face of Treasury Services Operations
  • Synchronize operations vision with Product Managers/Product Owners
  • Identify and communicate acceptance criteria for functional requirements
  • Work with architects, engineers and product managers to design, deliver and implement Operation focused roadmaps
  • Lead quarterly planning for the Group; prepare Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR)
  • Create an atmosphere of confidence, trust and team work

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors and/or Masters Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related area of study is preferred
  • 7-10 years of proven strategic execution in a large scale enterprise with
  • experience leading and supporting command centers with large technology and automation event managed environments
  • Experience in Information Technology Asset Management(ITAM)
  • Experience in Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) Processes, current ITIL release certifications preferred
