Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in San Francisco, California. This role is part of a growing accounting team in the telecom industry and will be focused on full-cycle accounting duties. The role is open to remote work, with a preference for candidates located on the West Coast.Responsibilities: Oversee full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Conduct monthly close processes and prepare financial statements. Perform basic balance sheet reconciliations and maintain inventory records. Implement and manage new accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency. Collaborate with the Controller and Assistant Controller on various accounting tasks. Manage and maintain three bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Process credit memos and complete other accounts payable tasks as necessary. Utilize Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics 365) and other software for various accounting functions. Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the changing needs of the company. Requirements Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of accounting. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations is essential. Experience in carrying out Bank Reconciliations is required. Knowledge and experience in handling General Ledger accounts is necessary. Must have a demonstrated ability to perform Journal Entries.
