Title: Jr. QA Engineer

Location: Torrance, CA (Local Candidates)

Duration: 12+ months/Contract

Interview: Phone and Video

Only H1B and OPT and -EAD local to CA Only There is a drug screen and background check for this position. Currently a 6 month contract with ability to extend from there. I will need the last 4 of the SSN and birth month to be able to submit. This will start remote and then be onsite. If using an H1 a copy of their ID is required for submittal. To submit any candidate we need their Birth Month and Last 4 of their SSN to create their secure ID in the system. There is also a background check. Initial phone interview, then video interview. They will be starting remote and then onsite.

NOTE: THEY ARE PREFERRING ONLY LOOKING AT CANDIDATES THAT ARE ALREADY IN THE LA AREA. must be able to be local as they are getting ready to go back on site. THIS ROLE IS A Jr. LEVEL ROLE AS WELL. POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:The QA Staff consultant will manage the system, integration, and user testing for the applications, and coordinates remediation activities. Ensures that systems meet business and technical requirements. This position will do automation scripting, implement, and support mobile testing activities. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency in mobile automation scripting, and the ability to work effectively with other functional and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support to this global application.DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:• Creates Test Scripts based on test input deliverables, such as functional or technical designs• Works with users to develop test cases, ensure they cover positive / negative/regression testing• Executes manual and/or automated tests for both Web and Mobile apps• Reproduces errors found and provides detailed documentation (e.g. screen prints, step-by-step reproduction instructions) needed to report defects• Thoroughly tests the application to ensure that it meets the functional and technical specifications; participate in peer review of others’ Test Scripts or Test Scenarios• Coordinates testing with end-users and reports issues to be fixed• Works with application development teams to resolve defects in a timely manner• Develops automated solutions to expedite test (Mandatory for Automation consultants)• Optionally creates and maintains performance test scenarios• Participate actively in project meetings and provide updates to Test Leads.• Participate actively in Test Strategy creation for specific assignments.• Creates and maintain test cases, define data, and review test scripts prepared by test analysts• Works with the management team to identify risks related to requirements that may contain ambiguous statements• Has the ability to transform customer requirements into workable test scenarios at the functional and/or technical levels• Has the ability to translate functional requirements into technical terms relevant to the package application to coordinate and assist with the detailed technical design tasks• Records defects and issues in accordance with the project's defect and issue management plans

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Skills:• Experience in the use of automated test tools and test management software, preferably TFS• Working experience with soapUI and Postman tool• Working experience with Selenium with C#/Java frameworks• Working experience with Appium on Java/TestNG framework for Mobile application automation testing• Strong SQL database testing skills preferably with MS SQL• Work experience with Powershell tool is a plus• Understanding of quality assurance and testing processes within an Agile environment with an eye toward innovating and improving test processes• Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond• Experience working in Cross-Functional Teams• Proficient in SQL Queries - understanding and usage of union, sub-query, and joins• Perform data analysis as well as interpretation.• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving challenges for existing testing tools /frameworks• Working knowledge in Agile methodology• Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution• Proficient in devising/maintaining all artifacts of testing such as Test Scenarios, RTM, Test Cases, Defect Reports and Test Summary Report• Ability to effectively manage the implementation of enhancements, change requests, and releases across multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines• Strong interpersonal skills and customer and results orientation

Experience:• 3+ years’ experience developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects• Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices• Experience testing a variety of mobile frameworks and/or applications• Experience developing automated software tests

Education:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
